Schema markup check for local businesses
A schema markup check reads the JSON-LD in your page source and confirms there is a LocalBusiness (or more specific) block with name, address, telephone, hours and links; SiteScore's audit parses every block, flags invalid JSON and missing fields, and hands you a ready-to-paste block.
Why it matters for AI search
Structured data states facts in a machine-readable way: who you are, where, when you are open. Search engines use it for rich results and to confirm business details; AI answers built on search results inherit that clarity.
What we found
In our 5 samples, 2 sites had no JSON-LD at all, 1 had an Organization block with only a name and URL, and 2 had complete LocalBusiness blocks. None had FAQ schema.
Use the most specific type
Plumber, Dentist, Bakery, Attorney and many more are subtypes of LocalBusiness on schema.org. Test your block at validator.schema.org after adding it.
